Pronatura Sur, together with five more PronaturaS offices in Mexico, form a network of Mexican NGOs with more than 40 years of experience in biodiversity conservation, advocacy in public policy, community development, management and conservation of ecosystems throughout the country. Our network is expert in birds and one of our main action strategies is to form alliances, coalitions and national and international associations to achieve our conservation goals.

A newly released State of the Birds report for the United States is a tale of two trends, one dire and one hopeful. While over half of the country’s bird species are in decline, investments in wetland conservation have seen long-term increases in waterfowl populations, once again showcasing the change that can be achieved with effective conservation.
