Finance Officer, Middle East

• Location: Amman, Jordan
• Part time: 20 hours per week
• Contract: One year (with the potential to extend, or change to full time subject to funding availability)

We are looking for the part time services (engagement) of a financially qualified individual with very strong administrative and organisational skills to take responsibility for the Middle East secretariat’s financial, accounting and statutory services in order to meet legislative requirements
 
This person will have good knowledge of Jordan’s financial regulations and various international donor requirements, such as GEF/UNDP and the European Commission. The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Middle East division’s finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
 
The ideal candidate will have 
• A university degree in business or business-related fields
• A proven track record of relevant professional experience, preferably in the not-for-profit sector
• Experience of accounting software
• Excellent problem solving skills and strong analytical skills 
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines
• The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively across different office locations and to work in a multinational and multicultural environment
