Administration and HR Assistant, Middle East

• Location: Amman, Jordan
• Full time: 40 hours per week
• Contract: One year fixed term contract (with the potential to extend, subject to funding availability)
 
BirdLife International is the world’s largest nature conservation partnership. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we deliver high impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.
 
We are looking for the long term services (engagement) of a responsible Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative, Human Resources and clerical tasks. Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative and HR activities.
 
The Assistant will also support the Regional Director in managing human resources matters and maintaining accurate staff records in the Middle East division, in close collaboration with the HR team in the Global secretariat. 
 
The ideal candidate will have 
• Proven experience as an administrative assistant, HR Assistant or office admin assistant
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Diploma in Administration field and additional qualification as an HR assistant
