BirdLife & LUSH team up to vote for EU Nature
297 stores in 17 countries across EU highlight BirdLife’s #IvoteNature campaign
BirdLife Europe has launched a campaign urging Europeans to vote on behalf of nature in the upcoming EU parliamentary elections. The campaign is inspired by the idea that birds, wildlife, and nature can’t vote for themselves. LUSH Cosmetics have teamed up with BirdLife because biodiversity and birds are disappearing at catastrophic rates. They will dedicate their shop windows across the European Union, from Finland to France, from Belgium to Bulgaria, to feature iconic images of treasured national nature sites with the message that ‘Nature is in Crisis’.
Supported by local BirdLife partners, LUSH store teams will be on hand to answer the public’s questions about the importance of EU voting to nature. LUSH joined with BirdLife several years ago to support the EU’s signature nature protection laws, the Birds & Habitat Directives, which are among the best laws of their kind on the planet. The health of our natural environment is inseparable from the health of our civil society and political participation.
