The next BirdLife World Congress will be held between the 19th and 22nd of June 2013 at the Ottawa Convention Centre in Canada. It will be hosted by Nature Canada and Bird Studies Canada (BirdLife Partners in Canada). "We are delighted to invite you to the BirdLife 2013 World Congress. This gathering of our partnership brings together the people who make conservation happen, not just for nature but for the human communities that depend on it. The atmosphere will be energizing, challenging and inspiring. We look forward to seeing you", said Peter Schei, BirdLife Chairman and Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado of Japan, BirdLife Honorary President. The congress will be an invaluable opportunity to bring together conservation leaders from more than 120 countries around the world to discuss the future direction of BirdLife’s work. The congress will also be an occasion to celebrate the 90th anniversary of BirdLife International, to launch BirdLife’s New 2020 Vision and to reflect on the Partnership’s many achievements. "We warmly welcome you to attend this special event in Ottawa", said Margaret Atwood and Graeme Gibson.
