BirdLife International’s 2008 World Conservation Conference and Global Partnership Meeting will be an exceptional global event, gathering together the 108 conservation organisations that make up the BirdLife International Network, plus their existing and potential collaborators and supporters.

The event will be held at the Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel and Convention Center.

For your convenience, accommodation has been booked at 8 hotels in downtown Buenos Aires, all within walking distance of the Sheraton Convention Center from Sunday night 21 September to Sunday morning 28 September 2008 (a total of 7 nights). Accommodation is on a first come, first served basis so it will be beneficial to book and pay for your accommodation as soon as possible. September is a busy time of year in Buenos Aires and hotel accommodation is in high demand.
Note 1: Hotel check-in will be at 15h00 or thereabouts depending on the hotel you are staying at. If you arrive in the morning and wish to check in straight away, you will need to book and pay for an extra night’s accommodation to include the previous night, to ensure the room’s availability for a morning check-in before 15h00. Accomodation rates can be found on the registration form.

Note 2: If you wish to room share and would like BirdLife to allocate a sharer, please be aware that if the sharer’s arrival and departure dates do not match exactly with your own, then you may have to pay a higher single room rate for the nights when you are in the room by yourself. On occasion this is unavoidable but the conference organisers will do their best to match arrival and departure dates for those who are sharing a room.

Note 3: BirdLife is already holding block hotel bookings for the meeting against which deposits have been paid to secure the rooms. All bookings must be made with BirdLife International and not with the hotel directly.
