The Amazing Journey

Most of the birds we’ve tagged in eastern Kazakhstan are now on the move. We haven’t received a strong signal from Svetlana since August 6th so we are currently unsure of her location. The map above shows the location she was in when we last heard from her on August 6th.

Svetlana was initially tagged in eastern Kazakhstan in early June 2010 and after raising her chicks she has remained close to her nesting site with other Sociable Lapwings in her breeding colony.
