Settling in for the winter

Other than Ajaz, most of the birds have been relatively settled over the last week.

Spring is in the air

With Spring in the air – Boris, Irina and Ainur, the three Sociable Lapwings we fitted with satellite tags in Kazakhstan last summer, have all left their wintering areas and are now on the way back to their breeding grounds.

Ainur arrives in Pakistan

Dinara heads north

After spending the winter in western India (near the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat) Dinara has set off on a long journey north back towards her breeding grounds and is now already in Tajikistan about 50 km north-east of Khorog.
