World Seabird Conference: Septemeber 2010
The first World Seabird Conference will be held in Victoria, BC, Canada, 7-11 September 2010, hosted by the Pacific Seabird Group. BirdLife is one of the participating organisations and the GSP is part of the Organising Committee. BirdLife/GSP staff are co-convening one of the four Special Symposia (Interactions between Seabirds and Fisheries: a Global Perspective) and workshops on breeding site databases and remote tracking. BirdLife will also be preparing and distributing a review, Global Seabirds: Status and Threats, specially for WSC. To find out more please visit the WSC website.
