Of Europe's 526 bird species, 226 (43%) have unfavourable conservation status. BirdLife International aims to create a future for birds and biodiversity across Europe through the BirdLife Europe Programme.

The Europe Programme is implemented by the BirdLife Europe Partnership of more than 40 conservation organisations supported by BirdLife Europe Division and Secretariat staff.

The BirdLife Europe Programme features activities including:

BirdLife's two European Offices and its Partners work on a wide range of EU Policy issues.
