2010: celebrating Swallows

In this International Year of Biodiversity, MME (BirdLife in Hungary) has decided to celebrate the the three common species of swallow and martins: Barn Swallow Hirundo rustica, Northern House-martin Delichon urbicumand Sand Martin Riparia riparia.

Endangered Long-whiskered Owlet has been filmed and photographed at a new site in Neotropical Primate Conservation’s main research area, La Esperanza, Peru. First found in 1976, the species had not been seen since 2007.
