The BirdLife International World Conservation Conference & Global Partnership Meeting is BirdLife's four yearly conference that unites our network and the wider community of collaborating organisations, individuals and decision-makers.
The Conference is entitled Empowering People for Change and will take place at the International Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa from Sunday 7 March to Saturday 13 March.

Empowering People for Change has three aims:

To share and celebrate successes, experiences, skills and knowledge in biodiversity conservation with a special focus on birds, birds as indicators and empowering people to achieve conservation.

To strengthen local, national and global capacity to deliver conservation action.

To agree and adopt strategies, programmes and policies for the conservation of birds, wider biodiversity and to achieve sustainability in the use of natural resources.
