Human Resources Officer

  • 1 year Fixed Term Appointment
  • Part time: 18 hours per week (with flexibility)
  • Salary in the range of £19,000 – £24,000 pro rata (plus generous pension contribution).

We are looking for a self-motivated Human Resources Officer to provide support to BirdLife’s Global HR function across a wide range of tasks and activities.  Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for day-to-day operational HR for the Cambridge site, as well as working in partnership with colleagues overseas to deliver an efficient and effective service across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a generalist HR background, with strong communication skills.  You will be able to prioritise and manage your own workload in a busy environment, have good attention to detail, and be proficient in standard Microsoft packages.  You will be confident in using your initiative to interpret guidance and providing frontline HR advice.  Strong team skills and cultural sensitivity are essential.
