IT Technician (Part-time 15-20 hr-week)

Circa £21,000 (pro rata per annum) + 12% Pension

BirdLife International is a global Partnership of conservation organisations that strives to conserve birds, their habitats and global biodiversity, working with people towards sustainability in the use of natural resources.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and comfortable with relating to all people and be able to absorb cultural diversity to fill this part time vacancy at the Secretariat’s head office in Cambridge.  You will work as part of a small in-house team, providing general 1st & 2nd line IT support to the organisation.

You will work on the installation, configuration and upgrade of operating systems and software.  You will be responsible for general desktop support as well as build, repair and configuration of systems. 

For this role, the ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar (1st /2nd line) customer relation position and will be a ‘people person’.  You will be able to manage your own time and workload effectively.

Requirements in the following technologies are essential: Windows XP/WIN 7, MS Office 2003/2007 plus experience in supporting all types of office IT equipment, including Laptops, printers etc.  A full job description is by clicking here.
