Project Finance Manager – MAVA projects

• Location: Cambridge, UK
• Full time: 35 hours per week
• Contract: 2 year fixed term
• Salary: £41,000 pro rata plus competitive 12% pension benefit
• Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata in year 1, increasing by 1 day pa to 28 days

We are looking for someone to provide Finance Business Partner support and coordinate all the Finance and Administration tasks to support one of BirdLife International’s major donors. 
 
You will be a key member of the Donor Coordination Team and will act as a focal point for ensuring smooth cooperation across the different teams and divisions. You will ensure that BirdLife has a holistic view of overall financials, risks and mitigations. The role will align processes to enable more efficient and better decision-making and will be key in supporting reporting within the Donor Coordination Group, to the Donor Foundation, to the Global and Regional Management teams and to other interested stakeholders.
 
The ideal candidate will 
• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with relevant post-qualification experience
• Experience in Managing Project Finances and Processes
• A robust attitude to Financial risk and how we identify and manage it
• Good influencing and impact to ensure that team deliverables are accurately met on a timely basis
• Good communication skills, including an aptitude for dealing with staff diplomatically on all levels and of different cultures
• The ability to deliver detailed financial information simply to a non-financial audience
