Corporate Engagement Manager, Asia (Singapore)

 
• Location: Singapore
• Full time: 35 hours per week
• Salary: circa  S$80,000 to S$84,000 pro rata per annum 
• Annual Leave: 18 days pro rata per annum in year 1, increasing by 1 day pa to 21 days
 
BirdLife International is the world’s largest nature conservation partnership. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we deliver high impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.
 
We are seeking for an experienced, highly motivated candidate for the role of Corporate Engagement Manager based in Singapore.  With a view to advancing BirdLife International (Asia)’s corporate engagement agenda, he/she will be responsible for:-
 
Responsibilities:
 
1   Developing BirdLife’s global corporate engagement strategy and leading the implementation of that strategy identifying key industries and companies that BirdLife should engage with.
2   Brokering and development of new business and biodiversity relationships and partnerships with companies both globally and in Asia, and assisting these corporates understand and reduce the impact of their business activities on biodiversity and ecosystems.
3   Promoting the work of work of BirdLife, in relation to corporate engagement, to corporates, industry groups, governments and the media.
4   Promoting the development and use of BirdLife tools (including IBAT and TESSA) by corporates.
5   Engaging with corporates who are interested in supporting the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystems through their corporate social responsibility programs.
6   Provision of advice, guidance and support to BirdLife Partner organizations to enable them to enter into similar or parallel relationships with corporates operating nationally.
7   Implementing the terms a grant agreement on the development of corporate relationships.
 
Requirements:
 
The ideal candidate must:
 
• Have a Basic or Post graduate degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent or have experience working in the corporate sector. 
• Have a proven track record of post-graduate work experience preferably in Singapore and/or the Asia region.  
• Have experience in the areas of strategy development, project management and implementation, partnership brokering and budget management. 
• Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Be versed in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Be willing to travel in the region.
• Be willing to engage with and meet new people.
