Business and Nature team Internship (Volunteer)

 
BirdLife International is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to work on a voluntary basis with our Business and Nature team, based at our headquarters in Cambridge, England.  
 
The successful applicant will play an important role in part in a wide range of tasks which will support our work with the cement and aggregates sector, organising a global event focussed on the renewable energy and power transmission sectors and developing and testing innovative tools for business. 
 
Typical tasks might include:
 
 Preparation of training and capacity development materials and technical guidance 
 Supporting delivery of a major event focussed on the renewable energy sector & flyways
 Developing communications materials to profile our work to the wider business community
 General administrative support as required
 
What we are looking for:
You will need you have good interpersonal, diplomacy, communication and teamwork skills, although some training can be given for any necessary technical requirements. Enthusiasm, sound organisational skills, basic computer skills in all Microsoft packages and the ability to work independently would also be key skill requirements for this role. Competency in Spanish and French would be highly advantageous.
 
Relationships:
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Programme Manager, Business and Nature, and work closely with other members of the organisation as needed. The position will be based in our head office at the David Attenborough Building in Cambridge, England.

Conditions 
The duration and working hours for this voluntary position are open to discussion. Ideally, the successful candidate would be available for a minimum of 3 days per week for a 6 month period.
