Reducing conflict between Israel's air force and migratory birds - podcast
Autumn is one of the busiest times of the year for migrating bird with over 500 million birds crossing the country as they make their journey south from Europe and Asia seeking warming weather in Africa. BBC correspondent Jon Donnison took to the skies to find out how much of a problem these migrating birds are for Israel's substantial air force.
He speaks with Dr Yossi Leshem from Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI / BirdLife Partner) to hear about their successful work reducing the conflicts between migratory birds and airplanes.
