- Recommendation on Natura 2000 designation: Natura 2000 is important for the protection of valuable habitats and endangered species in Sweden. There may be a need for the designation of more protected areas but measures allowing for greater consideration of managed unprotected land are probably the most important for the promotion of biodiversity, including birds.
- Recommendation on Natura 2000 management: We need more of the natural disturbance processes such as fire, flooding and re-creation of more wetlands. A more heterogeneous forest and agriculture is important to promote biodiversity.
- Recommendation on Natura 2000 financing: The financing of measures to promote biodiversity today is significantly insufficient. We need far more resources to provide both better management and land purchase of threatened environments (eg. natural forests).
