Ornithological information Breeding species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Crex crex (7-10 pairs).
Site description An area of wet meadows on the site of a former lake (drained in the 1930s), with a drainage system of channels and ditches, and partly covered with reedbed Phragmites and willow Salix scrub. Part of the site is cultivated, as is all of the surrounding area. Reed-harvesting is a land-use (`Other').
