Site description A large storage reservoir on the Dez river in the arid Zagros foothills c.15 km north-east of Dezful.

Key Biodiversity See box for key species. An important site for wintering waterfowl, notably herons and egrets, Anser anser and Grus grus.

Non-bird biodiversity: None known to BirdLife International.
