BirdLife Belgium

Site description This IBA comprises two sites, separated by the River Schelde; Kuifeend, an area of freshwater pools and reedbeds, and Blokkersdijk, a shallow freshwater lake surrounded by reed- and willow-marshes.

Key Biodiversity This is an internationally important wintering site for Anas crecca and A. clypeata. The area is also important for breeding reedbed species and staging and wintering ducks and grebes.
