Site description The site consists of two parts. The Feuchte Ebene is a semi-open plain, previously with large areas of non-intensive pasture, now largely converted to arable cultivation. There are still substantial areas of humid grassland and small pockets of dry grassland, fens and alluvial forest. The Rauchwarther Platte is an undulating plateau, largely used for arable agriculture. The north of the IBA contains a large Quercus forest.
