Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia (Affiliate)

Site description A plateau surrounded by the summits of Vardenik, Cemernik and Vrtop in south-east Serbia. The main part of the plateau has been turned into a large freshwater reservoir, with floating peat islands. The surroundings comprise coniferous and broadleaved (beech Fagus) forest and pasture.

Key Biodiversity An important site for breeding species of open, upland habitats.
