Ornithological information No recent data are available as the area is not well surveyed or monitored. Circus aeruginosus, Recurvirostra avosetta, Philomachus pugnax and Sterna albifrons, listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive, bred at the site in 1983.
Site description A dyked fjord/lagoon area (a failed land-reclamation project) with saltmarshes, meadows (partly cultivated), reedbeds and plantation areas.
