Site description Se sitúa en las provincias de Sánchez Carrión y Santiago de Chuco en el departamento de La Libertad y abarca el área del macizo montañoso entre los ríos Chusgón y Marañón, en la margen izquierda del río Marañón. En este sitio ocurren las Ecoregiones del bosque seco del Marañon, bosques montanos y paramos. En la zona predominan los bosques de Alnus y hay extensiones de plantaciones de Eucalyptus.
