Ornithological information La diversidad de aves de Vice esta representada por alrededor de 100 especies, entre las que destacan Phytotoma raimondii, Myiarchus semirufus y Sternula lorata.
Site description Esta IBA está ubicada en la provincia de Sechura, departamento de Piura. Se sitúa dentro de la ecorregión del desierto de Sechura, a 45 kilómetros en línea recta al suroeste de la ciudad de Piura. Este sitio es considerado como los manglares mas australes de la costa pacifica, los cuales están conformados por Avicennia germinans y Laguncularia racemosa mayormente. Fue declarado como Área de Conservación Municipal en el año 2000 (distrito de Vice) y como Santuario de Conservación Regional por el Gobierno Regional de Piura en el 2003.
