Site description An area of rocky shore with numerous rocky inlets, cliffs, beaches and islands, as well as Mediterranean scrub and sclerophyllous woodland.

Management considerations The site is threatened by the construction of holiday homes and the associated increase in human disturbance.
Protection status National Partial International High16,500 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (16,500 ha). 1,919 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Scandola, 1,919 ha). 26,960 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Golfe de Porto presqu'ile de Scandola, 26,960 ha).
