Management considerations The main threats arise from development for recreation and the risks of marine pollution from oil tankers (`Other' threats, above).
Protection status National High International Partial15,000 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (Bouches de Bonifaccio, 15,000 ha). 5,130 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Iles Lavezzi, 5,130 ha). 5,150 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Iles Lavezzi, 5,150 ha).
