Ligue Pour La Protection des Oiseaux

Site description The River Loire is the last unaltered and free-flowing large river in Europe. This site encompasses part of the river, sandy islets, marshes, wet grasslands and riverine forest. Human activities include arable farming and fishing.

Key Biodiversity The site is important for species which breed on the alluvial islets in the river.
