Ornithological information This is an important site for cliff-nesting raptors and forest birds.
Site description A rugged area of limestone rock and a narrow gorge. The vegetation consists of Pinus forest, scrub and alpine grasslands. The main human activities are game hunting, forestry, apiculture (`Other' land-use, below) and some livestock-farming.

Management considerations There is a high level of disturbance from sporting and recreational activities, particularly off-road driving. Intensive forest management, fires, and hunting are also serious threats.
Protection status National Partial International None13,097 ha of National Game Reserve (Serra de Boumort, 13,097 ha). 55 ha of IBA covered by Natural Reserve (Noguera Pallaresa-Collegats, 55 ha).
