Site description A high-altitude mountain area in the Pyrenees with cliffs, numerous small mountain lakes, extensive alpine grasslands and Pinus and Abies forest. The area is used for forestry, stock-grazing in summer and tourism and recreation.

Key Biodiversity Breeding birds include four of the 10 species in Europe that are restricted to the Eurasian high-montane biome (when breeding).
