Site description The site encompasses the central mountains of the Sistema Ibérico Norte with large Pinus, Quercus and Fagus woodlands, and extensive areas of grassland and scrub. The main human activities are forestry, livestock-farming, and recreational activities.

Key Biodiversity This is an important area for species associated with upland forest and grassland, particularly raptors.
