Ornithological information This is an important wintering area for Grus grus and breeding site for raptors.
Site description An area of mountains and a river valley. The mountain slopes are dominated by sclerophyllous scrub. The river valley has large dehesas, and some grassland, arable cultivation and olive-groves. The main human activities are livestock-grazing and hunting.
