Ornithological information This is an important site for steppic birds and breeding waders.
Site description An undulating plain dominated by arable agriculture with scrub, grassland and small areas of Pinus woodland and endorreic lagoons.

Management considerations The main threats are from agricultural intensification, particularly through irrigation, and the construction of a new railway.
