Ornithological information Eleven restricted-range species have been recorded in this IBA (Trainor et al. 2004).

Site description Lake Be Malae and the associated beach, tropical dry forest and oxbow lake provide an interesting landscape for a wide range of wildlife. The lake is of high cultural importance and is the site of an annual traditional event.
