Ornithological information Ten Yellow-crested Cockatoo Cacatua sulphurea were recorded during 2 weeks survey by BirdLife International-Indonesia Programme in 1999 (Setiawan et.al.2000).
Site description Pulau Moyo is small island (329 km2). Southern part of the island is hilly with elevation between 85-160 m.

Management considerations Shifting agriculture, hunting and timber collection for trade (Trainor et.al.2000), Beudels and Liman (1981) concluded that status alteration from Wildlife Sanctuary to Hunting Park can be regarded as a threat.
Protection status Previously it is a Wildlife Sanctuary (Game Reserve) based on SK. Menteri Pertanian No. 308/Kpts/Um/8-1985 (18765 ha) (MacKinnon et.al.1982).The status has been change to Hunting Park (22250 ha) based on SK. Menteri Kehutanan No. 308/Kpts-II/1986 on 9 April 1986 (Anon 1995b, Trainor et.al.2000).
