Site description Located in the south-western part of Rongshui County. The IBA has sections on both sides of the Mindong He river.

Other biodiversity Important plants include Halesia macgregorii. Animals include Andrias davidianus, Macaca thibetana and Viverricula indica.
Conservation response Established as a county-level nature reserve in 1982. The reserve was a state-owned commercial forest in 1965, which later changed its name to ‘nature reserve’ because the forest was subsequently protected as a watershed. There is no special reserve management department.
