Site description Nan’ao County comprises 23 islands and is located along the eastern coast of Guangdong, on the border between Guangdong and Fujian provinces. Wuyu Dao Island is located in the south-eastern part of the county, and forms Nan’ao Migratory Birds Nature Reserve with other islands such as Chi Yu, Ping Yu and Baihan. The island has a maximum length of 250 m, and a maximum width of 150 m. The vegetation is mostly herbaceous.
