Site description Shengjin Hu is located on the southern shore of the Yangtze River, in south-west Anhui Province, 10 km from Anqing City. In 1965 the construction of Huangpan Gate separated the lake from the Yangtze River, and formed a reservoir. The fishery resources have decreased dramatically since then.
