Site description Located 15 km south-east of Mudanjiang City. The IBA contains a microcosm of the typical forest succession in the Changbei region, with mixed pine-fir forests and other forest types.

Key Biodiversity 

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Cervus nippon, Martes zibellina, Felis lynx, Panthera pardus and Cervus elaphus. Nationally protected plants include Panax ginseng, Juglans mandshurica, Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica and Fraxinus mandshurica.
