Site description Hukou Wetland Nature Reserve is located in the southern part of Hulin City, and extends 60 km from north to south.

Other biodiversity Twenty-three mammal species have been recorded in the area, including seven nationally protected species. Nationally protected plants include Phellodendron chinense, Fraxinus mandshurica and Juglans mandshurica.
Conservation response Established as a provincial-level nature reserve in 1997.
