Site description Fenglin Nature Reserve is located on the southern slope of the Xiao Hinggan Ling mountains, and extends 20 km from east to west and 16 km from north to south. It was the first nature reserve established to protect Pinus koraiensis in China.

Other biodiversity No information.
Conservation response Established as a provincial-level nature reserve in 1963, and upgraded to a national nature reserve in 1988. Fenglin was designated in 1997 as a ‘Biosphere Reserve’ under UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere (MAB) Programme.
