Site description Located in Wuda Lianchi City. The IBA is on the plain at the western edge of the Xiao Hinggan Ling mountains. Ancient volcanic activities formed five linked lakes (“Lianchi”), with a total area of 1,800 ha. There is agricultural land around the lakes, and woodland in the riverine lowlands.
