Site description Las lagunas Bombona y Vancouver se encuentran localizadas el municipio de Anzoátegui sobre la vertiente oriental de la cordillera Central, en el departamento del Tolima, y hacen parte de la zona de amortiguación del Parque Nacional Natural Los Nevados. Los bosques de esta región alimentan la cuenca del río Frío, principal fuente para el suministro de agua al municipio de Anzoátegui. El hábitat principal está compuesto por pastizales, y el uso de la tierra es predominantemente agrícola, aunque también existe extracción de madera y leña.

Management considerations Algunas de las amenazas presentes en el área son: la expansión e intensificación de la agricultura, la quema de vegetación, la recolección de la leña y la agricultura rotativa.
Protection status A pesar de estar localizada en la zona de amortiguación del PNN Los Nevados, el área no se encuentra bajo ninguna figura de protección.
