Ornithological information Hay registros de 178 especies en la reserva, adicionalmente, Phoenicopterus ruber ha sido registrado en El Banco, Magdalena y en la ciénaga de Zapatosa, ambos sitios muy cerca a la reserva. (Rengifo et al 2002).
