Site description A small area of heathland situated on a sand ridge running between two stream valleys. The site is located to the south-west of the city of Tilburg, and contains scattered trees and some woodland (deciduous/mixed and coniferous).

Management considerations The main problem is scrub encroachment, which is reducing the extent of heathland.
Protection status National Partial International None340 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Regte Heide en Ooijevaarsnest, 474 ha).
