Ornithological information Total number of waders (including Ruff) reach 20000-25000 individuals.
Site description Branch of the Khvalynskaya delta of Volga river - system of the little salt and fresh lakes. Due to artificial irrigationdrainage which exists here most of the lakes have an irregular circle of flooding, part of them are offen shallow -water or dry. On the Volgograd part of the lake-sytem (northern lakes) there are a lot of artificial ponds are working, situation on Kalmykiya part is more close to the native.

Conservation response In the past also two hunting Zakazniks existed at IBAs, but by moment the timetable for their functioning go out.
