Ornithological information This is an important roost for geese Anser from surrounding feeding areas. Waterbird numbers quoted are rough estimates.
Site description Flood-plain meadows of the River Koningsdiep, situated in the eastern part of Friesland.

Management considerations The hunting of geese disturbs birds. A compensation scheme is in place for those farmers affected by restrictions on agricultural practices.
