Site description This IBA comprises the forest to the south and west of Tuyen Lam Lake and also includes Cam Ly, which is situated roughly 10km south west of Da Lat town. Tuyen Lam Lake is a reservoir 4 km south-south west of Da Lat; it is a further 5 km to the distant end of the reservoir. The reservoir is surrounded by pine forest Pinus kesiya, interspersed with extensive cleared areas supporting agricultural plots. At the southern end of the reservoir the pine forest is backed by tropical montane evergreen forest, rising from 1,400 m to 1,700 m.

Other biodiversity Yellow-cheeked Crested Gibbon Nomascus gabrielle has been recorded at the site by observation in the field (J. C. Eames, unpublished data).
